Without goals, training has no purpose
Virtual triathlons are a unique fitness challenge that are fun and achievable for all.
Virtual Triathlons are not a new thing. There have been incarnations of them for some time and we have run them through our own triathlon club for a number of years in various formations. You don't have to be a super athlete to take part or to set your sights on achievng something. You just have to be willing to have a go and be committed to finishing. You can undertake an event on your own, or with a team. Or you can choose to just do one or two legs. You commit to what you can achieve.
The idea is that you challenge yourself to undertake some physical activity for a period of time.
The 2009 season plays around with the various distances of standard triathlons. Sprint distance triathlons are ususally 500m swim, 20km ride and 5km run. So the Achiever Event for 2009 takes those distances and challenges you to do that three times a week for ten weeks. Simple really. And achievable.
